The Sun-Screen Panel
The Sun-Screen Panel was organized in May 2025 to address the escalating heat emergency. The session focused on evaluating existing policies and response systems to enhance public safety and community resilience. Panelists included climate policy researcher, Mr. Aditya Valiathan Pillai, and climate journalist, Ms. Hina Saifi. Their insights provided valuable perspectives on effective heat action strategies.
Keep it Cool Kit
Following the white paper, the "Keep it Cool Kit" was ideated to alleviate heat effects on an individual level. The kit contained items like high-SPF sunscreen, electrolytes, menthol soap, and moisture-wicking clothing. These kits were donated to the project partner, Ascension Seva . The kits were then distributed amongst a target community of outdoor workers.
